珍惜时间的英语演讲稿 篇1
For thousands of years, animals have trodden a slow path, their spirits together with the body. But our human beings transportation is too fast. The body moves but the soul is left behind. We try to free ourselves in convenience, but we only imprison the soul. Since we invented how to count hours, we do everything to short the time, short the deadline. But the time saved cant be shorten. Nowadays, we spend lots of time staying in front of a TV just changing the channels, while we have no time to talk with a good friend or play with our family. We have plenty of time to search old news on the internet, while we hardly think about our life. In the end, the only thing apparent is our loneliness. Take your time, please. Try to follow the natural steps and have your own clock. Try to share your time with everybody you love, share your mind, your happiness and sadness. Try to read the world we live in, do not only catch a quick glimpse at the society. Someday, when we know how to spend every second in our life, we can then live our own life.

my brother-in-law opened the bottom drawer of my sisters bureau and lifted out a tissue-wrapped package. this, he said, is not a slip. this is lingerie. he discarded the tissue and handed me the slip.
it was exquisite, silk, handmade and trimmed with a cobweb of lace. the price tag with an astronomical figure on it was still attached.
jan bought this the first time we went to new york, at least 8 or 9 years ago. she never wore it. she was saving it for a special occasion.
well, i guess this is the occasion.
he took the slip from me and put it on the bed, with the other clothes we were taking to the mortician. his hands lingered on the soft material for a moment, then he slammed the drawer shut and turned to me, dont ever save anything for a special occasion. every day you re alive is a special occasion.
i remembered those words through the funeral and the days that followed when i helped him and my niece attend to all the sad chores that follow an unexpected death. i thought about them on the plane returning to california from the midwestern town where my sisters family lives. i thought about all the things that she hadnt seen or heard or done. i thought about the things that she had done without realizing that they were special.
im still thinking about his words, and theyve changed the weeds in the garden. im spending more time with my family and friends and less time in committee meetings. whenever possible, life should be a pattern of experience to savour, not endure. im trying to recognize these moment now and cherish them.
im not saving anything; we use our good china and crystal for every special. event such as losing a pound, getting the sink unstopped, the first camellia blossom… i wear my good blazer to the market if i feel like it. my theory is if i look prosperous, i can shell out $28. 49 for one small bag of groceries without wincing. im not saving my good perfume for special parties; clerks in hardware stores and tellers in banks have noses that function as well as my party going friends.
someday and one of these days are losing their grip on my vocabulary. if its worth seeing or hearing or doing, i want to see and hear and do it now. im not sure what my sister wouldve done had she know that she wouldnt be here for the tomorrow we all take for granted.
i think she would have called family members and a few close friends. she might have called a few former friends to apologize, and mend fences for past squabbles. i like to think she would have gone out for a chinese dinner, her favorite food. im guessing. ill never know.
its those little things left undone that would make me angry if i knew that my hours were limited. angry because i put off seeing good friends whom i was going to get in touch with someday. angry because i hadnt written certain letters that i intended to write one of these days. angry and sorry that i didnt tell my husband and daughter often enough how much i truly love them.
im trying very hard not to put off, hold back, or save anything that would add laughter and luster to our lives. and every morning when i open my eyes, i tell myself that every day, every minute, every breath truly, is... a gift from god.

Dear teachers and students,
Good morning! Im honored to stand here and give a speech today. The topic of my speech is "Cherish Time, Cherish Our Youth".
Time, an invisible and silent traveler, is constantly on the move. It slips through our fingers like fine sand, never pausing, never looking back. We often hear people say, "Time flies," but do we truly understand the profound meaning hidden in these simple words until we look back on our days and realize how much has been lost in the blink of an eye?
As junior high school students, our days are filled with classes, homework, and various extracurricular activities. In the morning, we rush to school with sleepy eyes, trying to absorb knowledge in each class. During breaks, we chat and laugh, sharing the joys and sorrows of our young lives. And after school, we bury ourselves in piles of homework and review materials, preparing for the next days learning. It seems that every day is busy and ordinary, yet these ordinary days are stitching together the most precious tapestry of our youth.
However, many of us unconsciously waste precious time. We may spend hours aimlessly scrolling through social media, getting lost in the virtual world of short videos and games, forgetting that there are real dreams waiting to be chased outside the screen. We delay doing our homework until the last minute, resulting in hasty and careless work, missing the opportunity to really master the knowledge. We argue over trivial matters with classmates, letting negative emotions consume our energy and time that could have been used for something more meaningful.
Think about it. Every minute we waste is a minute lost forever in our journey of growing up. Thomas Jefferson once said, "Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today." We should make full use of every moment to learn new skills, read interesting books, exercise to keep fit, and cultivate hobbies that enrich our souls. For example, learning a musical instrument not only enriches our after-school life but also hones our perseverance and sense of rhythm; reading classic literature allows us to travel through different times and places, broadening our horizons and deepening our understanding of the world.
Our youth is like a budding flower, beautiful yet fragile. Time is the nourishing rain and sunshine that determines whether it can bloom brightly. If we idle away our days now, when we look back in the future, we will only be left with regrets and sighs. Instead, lets seize every second, work hard in our studies, actively participate in school activities, and build strong friendships. Lets use our actions to engrave the mark of struggle on this wonderful time, so that when we recall our junior high school years, we can smile with satisfaction, knowing that we have lived up to our time and our youth.
In conclusion, dear friends, lets cherish time from this moment on. Lets make our youth shine with the light of hard work and pursuit, because time waits for no one, and our youth is too precious to be wasted.
Thank you all for listening!

How to Save Time?
We have ever heard of “Time is money. Time is life.” Time is very important to everyone. But we can see people waste their time everywhere. They spend much time playing computer games, drinking, sleeping late in the morning and so on. It’s necessary for us to save our valuable time. We have to listen to our teachers carefully in class so that we can save more time to learn others after class. We should make a plan to study at home so that we can learn more with less time. If we can make good use of time, we are sure to get more.

Good morning, dear fellows! Today, standing here, I’d like to talk about a topic that is both old and new, yet always crucial in our lives – time.
Time, an intangible yet omnipresent entity, slips through our fingers like sand in an hourglass. It doesn’t wait for anyone, regardless of our status, wealth, or dreams. In the blink of an eye, the morning sun turns into the evening twilight, and another precious day fades away.
For us college students, time is a resource more valuable than gold. We are in a unique stage filled with opportunities and challenges. Our classrooms, libraries, and laboratories are the arenas where we should strive for knowledge. Every lecture we attend, every page we turn in textbooks, and every discussion with professors is a building block of our future. However, it’s so easy to get distracted. The allure of social media, the seemingly endless stream of online videos, and the idle chatter in dormitories can steal hours, days, and even weeks of our precious time without us realizing it.
Think about the great minds in history. Thomas Edison, who invented the light bulb after thousands of failed attempts, managed his time meticulously to conduct experiments and explore possibilities. He didn’t waste a single moment lamenting failures but used every second to move forward. Steve Jobs, with his visionary ideas, optimized his time to revolutionize the technology industry, changing the way we live and communicate. They knew the essence of time and harnessed it to achieve remarkable feats.
In our college life, we have academic goals to achieve, exams to ace, and skills to master. Besides, there are various clubs, volunteer activities, and internships that enrich our experiences and expand our horizons. We should make a detailed schedule, prioritize tasks, and allocate time wisely. Set aside dedicated hours for study, for self-improvement, and for relaxation too, because a balanced life is also part of making good use of time.
Let’s not be the ones who look back on college years with regret, wondering where all the time went. Instead, let’s cherish every minute, make the most of it, and step firmly towards our dreams. Because time, once gone, will never come back.
Thank you!

Time flies like an arrow before we realize it .It is known that nothing is more precious than time. The good old proverb "time is money" reminds us that time is valuable. When time goes by, it will never return.
However, it is a pity that some people dont make full use of their time .They spend a lot of time in sleeping, chatting, playing computer games or other unmeaning matters. . They dont realize that wasting time is actually equal to killing themselves. They always regret not having made great achievements.
One of the reasons may be they do not make good use of time. Therefore, in order to be successful, they should first get into the habit of being on time. It’s a sign of cherishing time. Dont put off what can be done today until tomorrow. Being lazy will eventually lead to failure. Dont wait, because you dont know how long it will take when you put off your plan.

Hello, ladies and gentlemen! It is my honor to share my topic with you here. And my topic is Time Is Valuable. Time flies. The article cong cong of Zhu Ziqing also tells us time is rare. We all know that :Time is life, at home we have parents advisement, at school we have teachers advisement. But who treasures time as life?
Now let’s enjoy a story: One day a young man visited great educator Banjieming. When Banjieming opened the door, to the young man’s great surprise.: his house was very dirty. “I’m sorry, It’s too dirty. Wait a minute please. Banjieming said and closed the door.
One minute later, Banjieming opened the door again and said: come in please . This time what the young man saw was a clean and clear sitting room.
“OK, You may go now. Banjieming said , “But I , I havn’t remit to you”. The young man asked. “Isn’t it enough? Looking at the room, “ Banjieming said. “You have been here for one minute.” “One minute? One minute, Oh I know. You tell me a truth: We can do many things in a minute.” The young man left with satisfaction.
The story is short but meaningful. Just like the story says:
one minute isn’t long. But our life is made of such minutes. In fact only treasure time , will you succeed, only treasure time, will you realize your ideal. Only treasure time will you achieve what you want.
We should make good use of time to study hard or to do something meaningful for yourself. So, we should plan the time to study and relax, especially at home.Because we have more free time at home,so that we can use that time to do a lot of things.
